As an artist my desire is to share my vision with you. I enjoy peace and relaxation quietly observing water scenes. My paintings evoke quiet moods with tranquil water scenes featuring water lily, lotus and koi fish ponds. "The Ponds" oil painting series offers a fresh approach to water landscapes blending Impressionist and realistic techniques. These all original contemporary landscape oil paintings employ strong vibrant color and line to explore nature images through light, shadow and color relationships.
My "Villages" acrylic painting series depicts European lifestyle and architecture. In 2007 I spent the year living near Munich, Germany realizing my dream of traveling in Europe and painting these beautiful places. I as very touched by the natural scenic beauty and the uniqueness of the architecture. In "The Villages" paintings I add a whimsical folk art tiwst to my contemporary realistic painting style to simplify the architectural elements of the homes, stores and markets. I used my colorist technique of bright color interaction to portray the spirit of these wonderful places.
I work in various media - oil, acrylic, watercolor and Chinese watercolor in series format. Various series include - rural landscapes, European village scenes, tropical fish, flowers and birds. Samples of "The Ponds" and "The Villages" are included in this website. To see other paintings, please email me at: nelsonbianco@yahoo.com.
I'm a Midwest artist now living in beautiful northeastern Ohio after many years in the Chicago area. Most days you will find me enjoying woods and ponds, painting in the studio or doing art-related business.
